From the cultural richness of Tunis and Kairouan to the golden dunes of Douz and the mountain oases of Tozeur, this tour offers a complete discovery of Tunisia’s history, heritage, and natural beauty.
Day 1: Welcome to Tunisia
Arrival at the airport, meet and greet, followed by transfer to your hotel in Hammamet. Enjoy a free day depending on your flight schedule to relax and settle in.
Day 2: Discovery of Tunis
Explore Tunisia’s capital and its rich heritage. Visit the Bardo Museum, home to one of the world’s finest collections of Roman mosaics. Continue to the old Medina of Tunis (UNESCO World Heritage Site), then discover the archaeological site of Carthage (UNESCO World Heritage Site). End the day with free time in the charming blue-and-white village of Sidi Bou Said before returning to Hammamet.
Day 3: Testour – Dougga – Sousse
Visit the Andalusian village of Testour, known for its unique mosque and its famous upside-down clock. Continue to the remarkable archaeological site of Dougga (UNESCO World Heritage Site), one of the best-preserved Roman cities in North Africa. Proceed to Sousse for overnight stay.
Day 4: Kairouan – Tozeur, The Pearl of the South
Travel to Kairouan, one of Islam’s holiest cities. Visit the Aghlabid Basins, the Great Mosque of Okba Ibn Nafaa, the Sidi Sahbi Mausoleum, the carpet market, and the old Medina. Continue south to Tozeur, where you will visit its traditional old town. Overnight in Tozeur.
Day 5: Mountain Oases & Star Wars Landscapes
Discover the stunning mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza, and Mides. Enjoy a guided walk in Chebika, explore waterfalls in Tamerza, and admire the canyon of Mides. After lunch in a local restaurant, visit the famous Star Wars filming location of Ong Jmal (Mos Espa). Continue to Nefta to admire the panoramic view of the oasis known as “La Corbeille.” Return to Tozeur for overnight.
Day 6: Chott Djerid – Douz Desert Experience
Cross the vast salt lake of Chott Djerid, the largest in North Africa. Arrive in Douz, known as the gateway to the Sahara. Explore the local market and enjoy optional desert activities such as camel riding or quad biking (extra). Spend an unforgettable night in a desert camp under traditional tents.
Day 7: Berber Villages & Tataouine Region
Visit the Berber village of Tamazret and discover traditional troglodyte living by visiting a local family. Explore the famous Sidi Idriss hotel, a Star Wars filming location. Continue to Toujane, Ksar Hadada, and the hilltop village of Chenini. Overnight in a cave guesthouse in Chenini.
Day 8: Gabes – Sfax – El Jem
Visit the coastal oasis city of Gabes and its local market. Continue to Sfax to explore its authentic old Medina. Visit the impressive El Jem Amphitheater and its museum (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Continue to Sousse for overnight.
Day 9: Sousse – Monastir – Port El Kantaoui
Discover the Medina of Sousse and visit its historic Ribat. Continue to the marina of Port El Kantaoui. Then visit Monastir, including the Ribat and the Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba. Return to Sousse for overnight.
Day 10: Hammamet & Wine Experience
Visit the charming old Medina of Hammamet. Enjoy a visit to a local vineyard with wine tasting of Tunisian varieties. Overnight in Hammamet.
Day 11: Departure
Free time depending on your flight schedule, followed by transfer to the airport. End of the tour.
